In addition to the i-Deal consortium, Alvolution is a key partner on the BRE led DAP consortium which is funded by the Technology Strategy Board.
The consortium project brings together a wide range of partners including Mircorsoft, Tunstall, and Cisco. The consortium is developing an open access health home hub accommodating a series of plug and play style devices and services. The project aims to:
- Establish user and performance requirements for the hub
- Develop, in a coordinated way, hub prototypes and associated technologies suitable for piloting in demonstration homes/communities
- Assess and address barriers to integrating of assistive technologies into the built environment and knowledge transfer
